GROUPS

A guided tour of our exhibition gives you a detailed introduction to the history of the Old Swiss Confederacy and fascinating insights into the Swiss myths, among them William Tell, the Oath of Rütli, Winkelried, and the Battle of Morgarten. At the centre is the Federal Charter of 1291, the history and mythological importance of which are explained in the exhibition.

Group tour price:  groups of up to 15 people 90 francs, plus 6 francs per additional person.

SPECIAL TOURS

We also offer tours on specific themes or specialist topics. These guided tours are led by historians. Please let us know which themes or topics you are interested in.

SCHOOL VISITS

History and historical culture – two sides of the same coin. On grade-specific tours of our exhibition, students learn about the history of the Old Swiss Confederacy and the many Swiss myths: William Tell, the Oath of Rütli, Winkelried, and the Battle of Morgarten. What is really true and what is myth? What did these myths mean to our society in the past and what do they still mean today?

Price:             all services offered by the Museum of the Swiss Charters are free for school classes and the adults accompanying them.

GROUPS WITHOUT GUIDED TOUR

Groups are also welcome to visit without taking a guided tour. However, we kindly request that you book in advance for groups of 10 or more people.
